Page Twelve: The Craziness Continues
All right, you've read this far...let me see if I can speed things up. Every month for the next year, Crazy Lady (aka Barbara Tengeri) sent another certified letter to the landlord. And month following month, each and every one would list my dogs as one of her complaints. I try to have compassion for her--after all that is how one should feel towards a person as sick as crazy lady so obviously is. However, her constant and ongoing efforts to have my dogs killed leaves me in a position of choosing to protect my pets or act compassionately. I chose, and continue to choose, to protect my pets from this psychotic individual. I can raise very little sympathy for someone so deranged that they would spend years in an effort to have an innocent animal put down.
So things in the house remained in stasis for about a year. Crazy lady continued to regularly call the police. This got so bad that they quit coming out. Her constant marauding through the house chanting "do as I demand, I'm calling the police" had lost its bite. Crazy lady appeared to adapt, eventually things almost seemed normal. Sure she was constantly acting crazy, but the police weren't coming anymore. Could this be the end of the story?
Sadly...no.
Crazy lady took her complaints to the city code enforcement agency. She made a multi-point complaint to the city and they scheduled an inspection of the house. While I won't go deeply into her problems with the landlord, suffice it to say that with the filing of the complaint with the city; crazy lady was back and she is crazier than ever. In our next episode, Crazy Lady will have me investigated for a hate crime, but first:
Interlude Three, Smokey
Smokey is my two year old Australian cattle dog. Born on April Fool's Day 2007, Smokey is a great dog. Smokey, too, attended Sirius Puppy School. She is well socialized with both dogs and people (but not cats and squirrels). I expect my dogs to listen to me, I expect them to come when I tell them, to lie down when I tell them, and not to pull me on the leash. With Smokey being head strong, I sent her off to a month long training program when she was almost a year old and she is a great dog in every way. She is not is mean or vicious in any way. Not to claim that she is not feisty, she loves to play rough; but she is never the instigator. She is great with kids (although she likes to lick their faces if given the opportunity), she is great with small dogs with one of her favorite things being to get "beaten up" by a small dog.

While most of the crazy lady's complaints are about Shadow, crazy lady continues to make the false claim that Smokey attacked her 3 year old grandson when Smokey was about 6 months old. Crazy lady admitted publicly that she had made it up, but she regularly makes the claim, oblivious to the facts. I can not comprehend why a person would pick out a puppy and then make every possible effort to have that dog killed. If evil has a human face, it is clearly the face of Barbara Tengeri.
